Stephanie, Martin and Caroline displayed a lovely selection of bridal jewelry and gift ideas. Many future brides visited us and we helped them find wedding bands to fit with their diamond engagement rings. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The winner of our prize was Jessica Rhody. Van Scoy Jewelers has been voted one of the Top 50 Designer Retailers for 2007. The honor was bestowed upon retailers for their lasting excellence at selling designer jewelry. The winners were chosen by confidential votes from the designers within the JCK Design Center and were honored for recognizing the artistry and value in this distinct segment of the jewelry market.

Patti and Caroline attended the American Gem Trade Association Show in Tucson Arizona in early February. This is the largest gem show in the world for industry buyers. Patti and Caroline are working with one of the lead gem cutters in the industry. Loose gemstones purchased at this show will be manufactured into beautiful pieces of jewelry by Van Scoy Jewelers on-site jewelers.

Deb and Caroline share some down time with Mark Schneider and family. We are fortunate to be part of a select group of retailers invited to attend the Luxury Trade Show which is an exclusive invite only trade show. It is at this show that we select new designers and make our selections for the fall selling season.

Becoming an Authorized Rolex Dealer was a great business accomplishments. Learning about Rolex and all the wonderful things they do was a bonus. Being a rider and obsessed with horses since childhood, attending the Rolex Three Day was a dream come true. We are proud to be an Authorized Rolex Dealer and honored to be sponsors of this event which is one of four 5 star events in the world. Day one is Dressage. This evaluates the obedience and suppleness of the horse.

Day Two riders and their mounts are judged on speed and jumping ability. Riders may walk the course but horses compete without any practice of exposure to course. The test is over a course of 500-600 meters in length over 13 obstacles with a speed of 375 meters per minute.

The sole purpose of this event is to prove that on the day after jumping solid obstacles at speed, horses maintain the obedience to the rider necessary for them to cleanly jump at a controlled pace, a course of obstacles that will fall down.
